Fees refund
Sir I have purchased a course from an coaching for clat and other law entrance exam preparation where they promise me that they will provide monthly current affairs compendium and much more even I found their system inefficient for my clat and other exam preparation when I asked for refund they refused to do that say their is no refund policy (Chandigarh, Chandigarh)
A.Dear Client,
Unless there exists a clause or provision in the course brochures/prospectus permitting or allowing a student to claim a refund of course fees on cancellation of the course midway, he cannot claim a refund of fees on cancellation of the course midway as a matter of right. However, if a student can prove the deficiency in service on the part of the service provider, serving a legal notice to the service provider, he can file a complaint against them before the District Consumer Commission under Section 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 claiming a refund of course fees from the service provider on the ground of deficient and sub-standard service along with compensation for harassment. The complaint should be filed within two years from the date of cause of action i.e, two years from the date of refusal to refund the course fees.

A.Dear Client,
At first check the terms and conditions of the course you purchased. Check for any clauses related to refunds, service guarantees, or the provision of promised materials. Gather and document all communications with the coaching institute regarding your concerns and refund request. Draft and send a formal complaint letter to the coaching institute and give details of your grievances. If the institute does not respond to your complaint or refuses to resolve the issue, you can escalate the matter to a consumer forum. We hope that our response is helpful to you.
