High water bill.

I have been paying the water bill ever since we had a water crisis in Bangalore. However, the crisis occurred during the summer, and we are currently in the monsoon season. Despite this, I am still being charged Rs 1130 for 1 BHK for two people. Last month, I was only in my apartment for a maximum of one week. Our society does not have water consumption meters, and I believe we are being misled. Please help me address this issue. We have evidence to support our claim, as they provide us with their own water bill. (Bangalore, Karnataka)

At first collect all the documents relevant to back your case. You can the approach the society administration or Residents’ Welfare Association and you can request an amicable meeting or negotiation to resolve the issue of the water bill discrepancies. In case the society administration do not help in resolving the issue, you can file a formal written complaint. and approach the local water supply board or the local municipal authority and seek to resolve the issue. In case all the means fails and If your complaints are not resolved, you can file complaint before the consumer forum or consumer court under The Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
