false claim of accreditation by educational institute

I did my PGDM from Asia Pacific Institute of Management, Delhi. In the advertisements as well as admission letter, we were told that the institute is accredited by the AIU, but that is not the case; and now i am unable to pursue a PhD because of the same . I have paid a fee of around Rs. 8 lakh for the PGDM course. What action can be taken against the institute

A.It should be your responsibility to check the institute before getting the admission.
However, you can send a legal notice to the College Authorities and if they do not comply you can file a suit in the designated court having jurisdiction.
In a worst case scenario you have an option to file a writ petition for the loss of studies due to falsified advertisement and misrepresentation of facts.

A.Dear Sir,
You can immediately lodge a police complaint and also complaint to various authorities like UGC etc. Further you can file a civil suit for recovery of said amount and as interim relief file application to attach the properties of the said institutions before judgment.
