My husband is in navy and so he stay with me for 5 months only in a year .My brother inlaw started liking me in his absence and we both fell in love with each other but he is married now and we are caught on watsapp chat by his wife.Please help me what case she can file against me? But I have promised everyone that I will never repeat but I am scared from her because she can tell this in my whole family.my husband is supporting me saying that he trapped you in my absence so don't worry I will handle.

I can't call right now ,I just wanted to know can she file any case against me with watsapp chats and voice recordings with her in which I have accepted that I was in a physical relationship with him from last 7 years but I tried to stop all these but failed because of his pressure.

The wife of your brother in law cannot do anything to you.
Also, adultery is de-criminalised so it cannot have any penal punishments.
However, the wife of your brother in law can at maximum take divorce from her husband on the grounds of adultery.
Also, as you said that your husband is supporting you. There is no need to worry.

Actually I was in a physical relationship with him from last 7 years but she has only watsapp chats and voice recordings as a proof ,so what she can do please suggest and what I should do for a peaceful family?

Your brother in law cannot file a case against you as he himself was the wrongdoer and hence cannot blame you. As for the wife of the brother in law she can at maximum file a divorce case against her husband and a Domestic Violence case.

indulge in an extra-marital affair is no crime and as your husband is supporting you, nothing much to worry. she can't make any complaint in the police/Court. however, she can file divorce from her husband (your BIL) on the ground of adultery.

You can file complaint of forceful sexual harassment, mental abuse, beatings, blackmail etc against your brother in law.
Have you ever involved physically with him?

You can file a complaint of forceful sexual harassment, mental/emotional abuse, beatings, blackmail, etc against your brother in law, but, I advise you to settle the matter with the help of elders of the family.
once you initiate legal action against your BIL, you can't back go.

Yes my family members are trying to resolve it peacefully but my sister in law is not a mature lady so she is only blaming me .But truth is that my brother in law trapped me n I tried several times to break this relation but was unsuccessful. So how I can stop her mouth or tell me any case that I can file against both?
