Coding ninja harrassing me for payment after placement course I left incomplete

I had joined coding ninja professional course in Feb 2022. They told me that I need to only after receiving offer letter above 8 lpa. They didn't tell me about any agreement that time. But due to different sector, the course was hard for me and I was unable to complete it so I left course as it is. Now they are calling me and telling we signed the agreement and you have done e mandate at that time so you are liable to pay the entire amount as you left course and we consider this as breech of agreement. They are asking me about 3.60 lakh to pay otherwise their advocate in court will send a legal notice. What should I do. It there any way to fight it back.

Section 73 of the Indian Contract Act,1872 makes provision for un-liquidated damages (not stipulated in a contract), and Section 74 of the said Act deals with liquidated damages (stipulated in a contract), and no compensation is attracted for mere breach of contract u/s.73. 74 of the Act unless such breach resulted in an actual loss or damage to the opposite party employer. The action of the Company prima facie appears to be an unfair trade practice as defined under Section 2 (47) of the Consumer Protection Act,2019. A service provider did not deserve service charges without rendering the agreed service to a consumer. So, in the given scenario, as a Consumer, serving a legal notice to the concerned service provider, Coding Ninja, you can file a complaint under Section 35 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 against them over alleged unfair trade practice before the Dist. Consumer Commission claiming compensation for harassment and cost of litigation. The complaint needs to be filed before the Dist. Consumer Commission within TWO YEARS from the date of cause of action. If the circumstances so warrant you can file a criminal suit against them for criminal intimidation under Section 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita(BNS).
