Short Team Capital Gain - Reinvest
I had bought a property from Developer (redeveloped building) in Mumbai on 18 April 2023 at 1.36 Cr. I sold this property on September 2024 at 1.90 Cr. This will result into a Short Term Capital Gain of around 54 Lakh. This results into short term capital gain, and I fall under the 30% tax bracket. I have two queries... 1. Can I add the stamp duty of 8.4 Lakh and and GST of 6.8 Lakh, that I had paid when purchasing this property as cost of property thereby reducing the capital gain by around 15 Lakh. 2. Can I buy a property worth around 50 Lakh in Gujrat and save entire tax on the amount of Short Term Capital Gain from this property. My number is XXXXXXXX, Mumbai
