After my father's s death my married sisters demanding rent for the flat where I lived with my wife after my father who had expired on 6th October 2018.
Please suggest what yo do now?

A.If your father has died intestate then the sisters have equal rights.

A.Dear Client,
If your father has died intestate, the entire property shall be bestowed on all his children including your married sisters and thus they have got a share on the rent that is coming from the house that belonged to their father. Try to get the succession certificate and thereafter file a partition suit and divide your share from the rest of the property.

It's not my father's property.It just a pagadhi system flat.My father was living here as Tenant.So after him I m living here do I become new tenant.Then hiw could my sisters can demand rent from me. The actual house owner can ask to give rent to him.

just enjoy your stay in flat and refused them (sisters) flatly to give any rent. they can't do anything

A.Hi, the amendment in the act from 2005, She can claim, you can ignore till court order, lawyer from vidhikarya
