How to stop Excessive Bank Calls During Financial Challenges
I have taken a personal loan and a credit card from Y Bank. This is the first month I missed my due payment because of unemployment and other family reasons. Currently, I don’t have the funds to clear my dues. I have informed the bank multiple times whenever I received calls, explaining my situation and requesting more time to make the payment. Despite this, I am receiving multiple calls every day from the bank, which is causing me significant stress and mental pressure. For example, just today by 11 AM, I received more than nine calls from the same bank. Out of these, I answered four calls and explained my situation, clearly stating that I don’t have the funds and need time to arrange them. Despite repeating myself, the calls keep coming, making it impossible to focus on preparing for a job, which I need to repay my debts. To make matters worse, even though I didn’t provide my family members’ contact details, the bank is now calling my father. I don’t understand how they are allowed to do this, especially when I am already responding to their calls directly. I want to repay my debts, but the constant harassment with automated and repeated calls is affecting my peace of mind and making it harder for me to arrange the payment. Is there any legal option to stop this harassment? Can I formally request the bank to reduce the frequency of these calls or give me a temporary reprieve? Please provide me with suggestions on how to deal with this situation effectively while ensuring I can focus on securing a job and clearing my debts.so tell me how to get rid of this because I'm facing this everyday now.
