Bank account hold by cyber cell

Once a cybercrime scam involving suspicious or fraudulent transactions is reported online to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal(NCCRP), on the instruction of the Cyber Crime Cell, the investigating team starts the routine process of investigation immediately freezing the suspected accounts of fraudsters and the victim's Bank account obtaining an order from the court of Magistrate under Sec.102 Cr.PC to that effect and on the instruction of the cyber cell, the Bank makes the debit freeze of the victim's account putting a lien on it. You have to wait for the completion of the investigation of the scam by the investigating agency to get your account unfrozen. You can access the status of your complaint online at https://www.cybercrime.gov.in. The length of time it takes to investigate a cybercrime can vary greatly depending on the complexity of the case, the resources available to the investigators, and the cooperation of the victim. So, pending investigation, the question of unfreezing a frozen account does not arise. It is your choice whether you pursue the money withheld by the Cyber Cell or ignore it. But in the course of the investigation, the Cyber cell may interrogate you or take your statement whenever required to resolve the reported cyber scam.
