Denial of Invoice for Swiggy Money Gift Card Purchase
Date of Purchase: On 31st December [20024], I purchased a Swiggy Money gift card through the Swiggy website/app. No Invoice Provided: Despite multiple attempts to contact Swiggy’s customer support, I was informed that they do not have the option to generate invoices for gift card purchases. No Prior Information: At the time of purchase, there was no information on Swiggy’s website, app, or FAQs stating that invoices would not be issued for gift card purchases. This lack of transparency is misleading and violates my rights as a consumer. Repeated Follow-Ups: I contacted Swiggy’s customer support team multiple times through their online chat and email (Swiggy Care). Despite my repeated requests, I was neglected and denied an invoice. After 15 days of continuous follow-ups, I received no resolution from Swiggy. Filed a complaint with the Consumer Forum due to Swiggy’s negligence and lack of response. Response from Swiggy’s Escalation Team Date: 26th January [Year] (11 days after filing the complaint with the Consumer Forum) Response: Swiggy’s escalation team responded, stating that they required two more days to look into the matter. Follow-Up: After the two-day period, Swiggy informed me that they do not have the option to provide invoices for Swiggy Money gift cards. This is violation of my consumer rights and lack of transparency denying an invoice for somthing I purchased from Swiggy app. This also raises tax evaison concerns. Kindly guide me on how to proceed with consumer forum online.
