Dear Client,
Only farmers can purchase agricultural land in States like Maharashtra and Gujarat. 7/12 extract is an important document needed for various financial and legal transactions pertaining to the land and is maintained by the revenue department of the State of Maharashtra and Gujarat. The 7/12 Document is prepared by the Talathi and signed by the Tahasildar. To obtain a 7/12 extract offline, you need to visit the office of the Revenue Department, and fill out a form with the details of the land and the owner and submit the same along with the required documents and fees. Once your application is verified, you will be issued the 7/12 extract from the office of the revenue department. On receipt of the extract, write a letter to the Talathi mentioning the jurisdiction of the area and the exact location of the land. Provide necessary details and records related to property ownership. Talathi will verify the documents and process the request. Talathi will make the necessary changes and update the register. On the basis of that updated record of the 7/12 extract, you have to apply to Tehashildar or the District Commissioner for permission to buy agricultural land in Gujarat. Reach out to a local Lawyer for more clarification, guidance, and steps.
