You may go to High Court challenging that garnishee order or appear before the same Court if not a party get implead yourself as a party and see that such order is recalled. If you have money then pay the amount and resolve the issue otherwise contest the case taking defence that it is time barred.

A Garnishee Order is issued by a court to recover debts and does not attach future credits or joint accounts proportionally. As per Order 21 Rule 48 of CPC, if the salary or allowances of a public servant need to be taken to pay off a debt, the Court can order for attachment of his or her salary or allowance to recover the money to write off the debt. Parties aggrieved by an appellate judgment should consider filing an application under Order 41 Rule 21 CPC if they believe that the judgment was rendered without proper notice or if there are other substantial grounds for reconsideration. Article 116 of the Limitation Act provides a period of limitation of 90 days from the date of the order/decree to file an appeal before the High Court and 30 days from the date of the order/decree to any other court. Under Order 21 Rule 46 A of CPC, a notice is to be issued to a garnishee before a garnishee order is passed against him. If such notice is not issued and the opportunity for a hearing is not afforded before passing an order, the order would be null and void on contest. Hence it is advisable to hire an experienced Advocate to get the appeal seeking a stay or quashing of the garnishee order admitted by the High Court.
