Fake case of false promise of marriage

Dear client,

If a girl is threatening to file an FIR for a false promise of marriage while having other relationships and is demanding ₹10 lakh to not file it, this amounts to blackmail and extortion, which are serious criminal offenses.
Keep all proofs of her other relationships (texts, call logs, social media posts, or any communication where she admits to them).
Save all messages, recordings, or any demand for money. This can serve as evidence of blackmail and extortion.

Immediately file a complaint under Sections 383, 384 IPC (extortion) and Section 503 IPC (criminal intimidation) at your nearest police station.
Mention that she is threatening to file a false FIR and demanding money.
Attach your proofs to the complaint.

If you suspect she will file a false rape (376 IPC) or cheating (417 IPC) case, you can file a preemptive complaint with the police and seek anticipatory bail as a precaution.
The police may also conduct an inquiry before registering an FIR against you.

Supreme Court & High Court rulings have stated that a "false promise of marriage" case is valid only if there was deliberate deception from the beginning.
If she was in multiple relationships, it weakens her claim, as it shows she was not solely dependent on your promise.
Paying the demanded ₹10 lakh may encourage further blackmail. Instead, take legal action to protect yourself.

File a police complaint against her immediately for blackmail & extortion.

Collect and preserve all evidence of her false claims and other relationships.
