Dear Client,
Given the scenario, here is the procedure following which you can resolve the issue in the absence of a discharge certificate of the hospital showing the birth of the child. For birth cases in Private Hospitals, Nursing Homes or at residences of KMC areas, the applicant, within 21 days of a birth, Hospital /Nursing Home authority must send the birth report to the concerned Borough Health Office and for late registration, within 1 year of birth. The registration is done only after submission of the report, following which the Birth certificates are issued. If the child's birth takes place at a residence, then the registration must be done within 21 days at the Health Care Unit of Local municipal Ward, on which the Birth Certificate will be given. Subject to the permission of the Registrar under the Birth and Death Registration Act, 1969, registration and procurement of the Birth Certificate may be done within 1 year. Registration after one year of a child's birth can only be done by the order of a First Class Magistrate. The Birth Registration and Certificate thereof can be obtained from the concerned Borough Health Office of the Corporation by submitting the proof of birth and the order of First Class Magistrate for registration and on payment of a stipulated fee after 1 year to 20 years of the child's birth. No-entry Certificate will be issued by the main Health Department of the Corporation for non-registration of birth after 20 years on payment of a stipulated amount. For special occasions, a Birth Certificate can be obtained from the Department of the Chief Municipal Health Officer by submitting the original directive/order of a First Class Magistrate and other documents of proof. So, following the above procedures, you can access the digital birth certificate of your daughter from the online portal of KMC. For further clarification, you may visit the concerned Borough office of KMC.
