Joint ownership of land Joint ownership of land

If I have got a land as gift deed, can the ownership of that land be changed from single to dual-ownership? Where me & my wife will have equal right on that same land?
If yes, please tell me, if that is possible through another gift-deed, or else?

A.Dear Sir,
If land is granted in your favour exclusively then wife has no right except a right to claim alimony.

A.By your query it is clear that there was a previous gift deed by way of which you have now become the absolute owner of that property and now you want to share such property with your wife.
In such a case, you can either make a gift of half of the property or else you can an agreement for joint ownership.
Both of which should be registered.
Thanks.

A.I am not very sure whether you can gift the property to yourself when you do a gift deed in joint name.
I have not seen any case like that so I would suggest that you try to do it and get the confirmation from the sub registrar.
If he allows then fine otherwise do a gift deed for half of the portion in your wife's name.
