Tenant Verification by Police

So I (30M) have a case pending against me. Put up case filed by my ex fiance (354, 417, 502). It's on the ending stage and it'd be wrapped up soon. I recently moved to Mumbai and moved into an apartment in a society. The owner has taken my documents (Pan and Aadhar) for police verification. I haven't disclosed my pending history with the owner. I just wanted to check what'd be the process that the police would carry out with respect to this. Will there be a criminal background check? If so, will my pending history come up in this? My case is pending in the lower court in a different state. Any clarity on this would be much helpful.

Dear Sir,
It is not a very serious offence because many a times ex-lover may file a false cases thus the landlord may allow you to enter into tenanted house. The Police simply make a record of the same and after disposal of the case you may inform the Police and landlord that you are acquitted.

Dear Client,
Until and unless the criminal offences are reported to the NCRB criminal database maintained by NIC, the criminal history of a person might not be reflected in police verification. Further, unless a person is convicted by a Court for a proven criminal offence, he cannot be discriminated against or treated as convicted accused. If the situation so warrants, hire an Advocate to navigate the issue in the right way.

During a police verification, the police usually check for any criminal records associated with your name.
It depends upon the verification the police officer would conduct. If the police officer conduct a thorough investigation or verification they may check if you have any pending cases, FIR, or convictions in police records.
Since, your case is nearing completion, if the charges are not severe and there’s no conviction yet, it might not be a major problem. However, if you’re concerned, you can check with a lawyer about potential disclosures.
