My father has purchased a flat. Registry has been in my mother's name. Can she gift that property in my son's name. Son is 12 years old. If yes then what is the process nd what are the charges I have to bear , stamp duty etc.secondly can I add my son's name in registration deed.

A.Dear Sir,
Your mother can gift the property in your son's name provided you are only the child to your parents. It may cost Rs. 5k as per Karnataka Stamp Duty. Please check your advocate.

A.Dear Client,
Your mother can give her property to her grandson by way of Gift Deed, now your son is minor through Natural
Guardian gift can made. Once it is gifted then it becomes minor's property. to sell it,
you will have to obtain the permission from the Dist., court under the guardian and wardship act. Court wil give the permission.
Registration stamp duty is depends upon your state registration act.
