Query on refund of registration fees

Query on refund of registration fees in karnataka paid to subregistrar- we had sold tdr rights to some company in fy 2016-17 the registration fees charged was more than 1% we dint question as we dint know about it and we were sellers and buyers bore it, is there a way we can apply for a refund.

Dear Sir,
It is time barred anyhow you may submit a representation to the concerned Sub-Registrar then go to office of higher authorities if no action is taken by the department then go to High Court and get a direction for refund on the principle that "nobody can enrich at the cost of other".

Dear Client,
Unless a sale deed is cancelled within 6 months, the refund of the stamp duty paid on registration of the deed cannot be claimed. If the stamp duty was paid for an unregistered property, the Buyer must apply for a refund of the stamp duty within six months of the payment date. Both registration fees and stamp duty can be claimed for unregistered deeds, but note that registration fees once paid are non-refundable for registered sales deeds. Buyers will not get any refund on their registration fees under any circumstances. So, as a Seller, you are not even eligible to apply for a refund.
