Domestic violence by mother and brother
My friend is suffering from domestic violence by her mother and younger brother. She is the sole bread earner in her house and her mother have taken multiple loans in her name. She still takes all of her salary even though she also takes monthly maintenance from her husband as they are separated. Both her mother and brother have physically assaulted her multiple times and are also mentally assisting her ever single day like by not letting her go outside apart from office, not giving her proper food, even if she bought something for herself, her mother hides her stuff. They have multiple rooma yet she does not any proper space to manage her stuff. She physically abuses her everyday for every single thing and do stuff like throw dogs water and milk on her, throwing her clothes to her dogs so that they can destroy them. She once left her home to live alone in a PG room, however they made her life a living hell over there as well and she had to come back home. And now after coming back they are both harnessing her every single day. Neither her older brother nor her father are helping her as well. I've asked her to file a police complaint, yet because of ner her love for her mother and brother and for the hope they will change, she does not want to file a complaint on them. Also, her mother has many cases registered on her because of property disputes by her sisters and parents as well. Please guide me what I can do to help her as I am worried about her that if someday things escalated a lot more for her to bear she might do something to harm herself. She is of 25 years old yet she does not have the author to live her life on her terms.
