Denial of maternity leave and immediate cessation of services of the employee
My employer a pvt ltd company coming under maternity benefit act denied maternity benefits leave stating that they are not clearing my probation after my 7 month of service and ceasing my services from immediate effect.In lieu of my go ahead on their mail they are willing to pay 3 months salary as compensation.Also I worked as the only person in the relevant department and handled all the company work without any performance issues. Now they have not sent my salary and denied maternity leave too.What can be done with such communication from HR of the company.They trying to force me to accept their unethical treatment and hired a new male employee in the department.They are also saying that due to budget constraints they cannot provide maternity leave and have terminated services of many other employees in past. Also HR verbally threatened me that they will not clear my background verification and give negative feedback if I file a complaint against company. I am already having complications and risk in pregnancy due to health issues.What will be suitable way to get maternity leave benefit along with compensation and rights in such a case.
