Need Legal Advice: STAR Health Asking for Claim Refund
I had taken a health insurance policy from STAR Health for my father. He was later hospitalized and underwent treatment. The insurer approved the claim under cashless, and the hospital bills were settled. Recently, I received an email from STAR asking me to repay the entire claim amount, citing non-disclosure of a pre-existing condition (portal vein thrombosis). I had clearly informed the STAR agent (via WhatsApp) about my father’s medications . I have screenshots as proof that I shared all tablets name before buying the policy. The agent did not include this information in the proposal form and never informed me about it before submission. I signed the proposal form without noticing the missing medication details — out of trust, not with intent to hide anything. The insurer approved the claim in full (cashless) and is now demanding the money back. Now agent is not receiving the call and not replying my Messages
