Council of Architecture levies fine.
Hello Sir ! I m an Architect residing in Mumbai. I had surrendered my registration with council of architecture in 2005 (as at that time i was not working on the same), by sending them a letter attached with my original registration certificate. When i contacted them recently for reactivation of the registration they said that they had not received any communication from me regarding surrendering of registration & i was levied a fine of Rs. 65000/- as dues for all these years.I want to know that for postal /departmental mistakes why should i bear the fine/expenses.Can anything be done about this. Pl guide.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
A.Dear Sir,
You may make both postal authority and Council of Architecture as respondents and file a Writ Petition before High Court and seek compensation.
