Rental Agreement

I printed a rental agreement for 4 students on a stamp paper. One of them decided not to move in and was replaced by another student: can I strike off one name and add a new name handwritten with pen? Will the agreement be valid if both parties are aligned? Since it’s a 11 month contract, it will not be registered. Kindly confirm.

Dear Client,
A rent agreement for less than one year does not require registration under the Registration Act, 1908. Any correction or alteration in the agreement or contract requires an initial signature of the person correcting the specific words or sentences and certified by a Notary Public on notarisation of said agreement post execution and signature of all the parties to make it a valid agreement.
