Returning of the brokerage
I gave a house on rent ( 35k/month) to a party from Kolkata. They gave 1 month rent in advanve and 2 month security to the owner... The rent started from 1st May 2025.. however the party shifter from 23rd May and after 6-7 days they vacated the property as they were facing some water issues. Owner said that there's no water issue we checked it thoroughly. Now tenant is asking for the security refund and owner is saying that I'll cut another month rent as they vacated the place on 5th June. And they'll also cut my brokerage from their security or if i give my brokerage back to them. Both parties are insisted to file a case on each other and I'm stucked in between. Owner is asking me to settle all the issue or either i give my brokerage back irrespective of all the situations . I think a broker's works as a mediator b/w both the parties and if the deal doesn't workout after all the payments.. is it my fault?? I even told the owner that I'll rent it out again and won't charge a penny from them.. and then they this is not an option you have to do this. Please suggest me.. what should i do???
