The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA), now known as Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), provides avenues for grievance redressal of an aggrieved person occupying a property in the project of HUDA under the Haryana Urban Development Authority Act, 1977. An aggrieved person can make a complaint against his neighbour who caused damage to the property of other by construction to the District Collector under Section 18 of the HUDA Act, 1977. Any person aggrieved by an order of the Collector passed under sections 18 or 19 can appeal to the Director or a designated appellate authority within 30 days of the order. An aggrieved person can also approach Consumer Forums established under Section 100 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for redressal of grievances related to deficient services of HUDA, which is addition to and not in derogation of the provision of any other law for the time being in force.
