Is temporary disability certificate is valid for government job

Such a certificate is not valid for claiming reservation in government jobs.

At the time of document verification, SSC/Railways/State PSCs will reject temporary disability certificates.

A temporary disability certificate is issued to a person whose disability is deemed to be temporary i.e. the degree of disability may change or the person may even recover completely. The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act was enacted in the year 2016 and came into force on 19th April 2017. Individuals having 40% or more disability can apply for a disability certificate, provided their disability falls under the categories specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. A disability certificate remains valid for lifelong in case of a permanent disability. However, for temporary disabilities, the certificate/ID card remains valid for five years. It has to be renewed once in five years, subject to the medical examination of the disabled person. However, the specific eligibility criteria and acceptance of a temporary disability certificate can vary depending on the job requirements and the nature of the disability. So, the acceptance of a temporary PWD Certificate solely depends on the standing rules and discretion of the concerned authorities. You need to review the employment notification and clarify the matter from the concerned office of the government authorities who conducted the national-level competitive test or exams for government jobs.
