Slum rehabilitation authority

The Slum Rehabilitation Authority(SRA) is the primary authority for overseeing and implementing SRA schemes. Annexure 2 is a crucial legal document that certifies the eligibility or ineligibility of slum dwellers for rehabilitation. Without being named in Annexure 2, a resident cannot claim housing under the rehabilitation scheme of SRA. The annexure -2 is compiled after a thorough survey and verification process conducted by the SRA authorities that include certified list of slum residents who have proved their eligibility post verification of the documents submitted by the slum dwellers and post biomatric verification of their identity. The annexure -2 is accompanied by signed declarations of consent from the eligible slum dwellers, as well as agreements between the resident society, the developer, and the residents. Annexure 2 establishes the eligibility to a new tenement ensuring that only genuine residents who lost their shops or dwelling house in course of demolition be benefited from the SRA scheme and evicted residents can use Annexure 2 to contest any disputes with the developer or society regarding their rehabilitation entitlements.
