Non payment salary
Hi Team, In my previous company, I made a mistake by accidentally pushing AWS credentials to GitHub. Because of that, the client received an email saying that the credentials were publicly available. We later removed them. After two months, I resigned from the company. At the time of my resignation, my manager (who is also the owner of the company) said that my pending salary would be paid in a few days. Four months later, I emailed him regarding the payment, and he replied that he would pay. Now, he is claiming that because of the issue with the credentials on GitHub, the company is facing a lawsuit. He mentioned this in a WhatsApp message when I sent him an email requesting a response within seven days. What should I do in this situation? Should I file a complaint against the company? If I do, could he cause any trouble for me in future background checks, or could he file a case against me for the mistake I made?
