Q.Leave deduction related issue
Hi, I am employed in a Pvt. Ltd. company. My employer deducted my salary for 5 days leaves on the basis of gross salary but as per my understanding, it should be deducted on the basic salary rate.

Is my understanding correct or the employer is free to apply any policy on the employee. What legal option I have to tackle this matter.

But as per company policy, if I save my leave it will be paid on basic salary rate at the start of next year. In this case don’t you think that It’s illegal process as for deductions they are applying gross and for payment basic rate is applicable.

Sir,

What should be the minimum allowed leaves for the software company employee in a year? My company allows a total of 12 leaves (6 sick and 6 casual), do you think it is sufficient as per labor law.
