CNT LAND selling

I purchased a plot from mahto person in 1994 when in Jharkhand , now in 2025 i want to sell this plot again to another mahto person .Can i sell it ? I have both registry and mutation paper. Name the issues that i will face.

Dear Client,
The surname "Mahato" is not considered a Scheduled Caste (SC) or Schedule Tribe in the state of Jharkhand. So, the provision of CNT Act or SC/ST Act, 1989 that prohibits the sale of SC/ST land without the approval of the competent authority is not applicable in your case and accordingly, there might be no issue in selling such land to another Mahato. However, to ensure the present status, you may consult with a local Lawyer.
