Pregnant woman facing forced resignation
Pregnant woman in Hyd facing forced resignation and not confirming ProbationMy Wife working in Hyderabad based private company in Digital marketing stream. She is currently pregnant and her due date is February 2026. She completed her probation period recently on Oct 28th 2025, but her company is now refusing to confirm her probation and is asking her to resign voluntarily, citing performance issues. There were no prior warnings, PIPs, or written feedback, i had requested for work from home option from November before going to maternity leave. She was asked to submit her doctors letter for the same and told her the company in house doctor need to approve the request. She had submitted the respective letter from her doctor and was waiting for the approval. All of sudden last week, her manager asked her to voluntarily resign citing the performance issues. There were no prior warnings, PIPs, or written feedback, and I believe this is happening due to my pregnancy. I need help with: Need help with: • Understanding her rights under the Maternity Benefit Act, • Stopping the company from forcing resignation, • Sending a legal notice if required, • Ensuring job protection and maternity benefits.
