Converting to islam

I would like to convert from hindu religion to islam what are the steps that should be taken legally?How to perform this religious conversion legally?

A.Do an affidavit for the same and visit a moulavi for further process.

A.In principle you should start believing in judgement day, 7 day`s creation, and 72 virgins for jihad. In law prepare an affidavit and go to a moulvi and he will do teh rest. BUt there are about 40 sects in India , you should decide which one to join.

A.Hello,
To make it legal, you may have to make an affidavit stating that you are converting from one religion to another solely on your own free will and consent and mention the procedure as well. Get it notarized and validated from the person who converts you(spiritual head).
