University asking for money to return my Graduation degree

I worked as Assistant Profesor in a university 2013 in Jaipur during recruitment they took my original graduation degree. After 1 year of service, I resigned from this place and asked to give back my degree but they are asking money. I have not taken 28 days salary in lieu of 1 month notice or 1 month salary so I gave 1 month salary. I have no dues certificate but still they are not returning my degree

A.lodge a complain

or else in the last of all you can file a writ petiton.

A.They must give reasons for not returning your Original Degree certificate. Make written correspondence and preserve it. If it doesn't serve d purpose, send them legal Notice n subsequently approach appropriate legal Forum along with ur grievance and harassment compensation.
