A.Yes it is a crime and you should not try to opt for the same as you may lose every privilege that you have as of now.

A.If you apply through proper channels it'll b easier to resign and post to d new assignment with all ease and decorum. If permission is not there authorities where u presently serving might b refusing to release u on one ground or the other
