Broken engagement

At this stage, it would be advisable to avoid emotional confrontations, threats, or public allegations and instead proceed through proper legal channels by issuing a formal legal notice seeking reimbursement of expenses and return of any valuables or gifts given in contemplation of marriage. As both of you work in the same office, maintaining professional conduct and limiting communication to documented and respectful exchanges is also important to avoid unnecessary complications or counter-allegations
