Dear Client,
PF overlap usually happens when two employers show overlapping employment dates in the EPFO records. This is common where an employee joins another company before the previous company officially updates the exit date.
You should:
1. Check your service history
2. Verify the joining and exit dates shown by all companies;
3. Request the concerned previous employer to correct the Date of Exit or other incorrect details in EPFO records;
4. Keep supporting documents such as offer letters, relieving letters, salary slips, bank statements, and resignation emails.
Usually, overlap issues can be resolved through employer correction requests in EPFO and do not permanently affect future employment if properly clarified. If the new employer asks about it, you can explain that it was an EPFO service overlap due to transition between companies during that period.
