Dear Client,
As per the facts stated by you, the PG owner has informed you that the room presently occupied by you on a 2-sharing basis will be converted into a 3-sharing room and has asked you to vacate the room within a short period. Before taking any further step, it is important to verify the terms and conditions of your PG agreement, if any, to ascertain the rights and obligations of both parties.
If the accommodation was allotted to you specifically as a 2-sharing room and there is no clause permitting the PG owner to unilaterally alter the occupancy arrangement or require you to shift, you may object to such change and request continuation of your stay on the originally agreed terms. The PG owner is generally expected to act in accordance with the terms of the agreement and provide reasonable notice before requiring any occupant to vacate or relocate.
Ir is advisable to communicate your objection to the PG owner in writing and express your unwillingness to vacate the room, highlighting the inconvenience that would be caused due to the sudden change. You may also request that you be permitted to continue in the same room or, alternatively, be provided with equivalent accommodation on the same terms and conditions.
In the event the PG owner insists on eviction or relocation contrary to the agreed arrangement, the matter would have to be examined in light of the contractual terms, the notice provided, and the applicable local laws governing such accommodations. You may then consider taking appropriate legal recourse to safeguard your rights and interests.
