Upaid Personal Loan dues by wife who has filed DV Upaid Personal Loan dues by wife who has filed DV

My wife had filed DV-12 in June this year seeking maintenance & compensation. Yesterday I received a bank letter seeking payment towards a personal loan she has taken without my knowledge. She does not live with me anymore and used the residence address. Is this done to put pressure and support her maintenance claim? None of her bank accounts carry this house address other than this loan account. What steps should I take to disassociate my self from this liability? Should I inform the bank?

A.Dear Sir,
You are not liable to pay the dues of your wife unless you are a guarantor for the said loan. Please reply to such legal notice through advocate.

A.If you r not joint loan account holder u should inform bank accordingly. Once u r directed to give maintenance u should inform the Court of other such activities of your wife through filing applications and try to desist and dissociate yourself from other liabilities of your wife
