Installing a personal CCTV camera in a common terrace without the consent of the other occupants may give rise to legal objections, particularly if it records common areas used by all residents or affects their privacy. The absence of a registered association does not automatically authorise an individual resident to install surveillance equipment in a common area.
If the camera is installed only to protect flower pots and does not unnecessarily capture or interfere with the privacy of other residents, it may be viewed differently depending on the facts. If you object to the installation, you may first raise the issue with the residents and, if necessary, approach the competent civil authority or court for appropriate relief.
