In Rajasthan, EWS eligibility is determined based on the prescribed family income and asset criteria. Guidance commonly states that "family" includes the applicant, spouse, children, and parents for income and asset assessment purposes, although applications are processed using the Jan Aadhaar family records.

If you have a genuinely separate family unit in Jan Aadhaar and ration card, and the authorities have issued you an EWS certificate after verification, then your certificate is generally treated as valid unless it was obtained by misrepresentation or the authorities later find that you did not satisfy the eligibility rules.

However, if the competent authority considers your parents' income and assets as part of the "family" for EWS eligibility, then your father's income exceeding ₹8 lakh could affect your eligibility.
