Reason for affidavit

I have a question if there is an agreement between a person and an mid sized to a small scale organisation then I would like to know that is it possible that there could be a chance that the agreement may omit the flat number yet the KYC details show the flat number with the building address and an identity clarification affidavit is asked to justify it out ?

Dear Client,

Yes, it is legally possible, provided the organisation is satisfied with your identity and there is no statutory requirement that the agreement must contain your complete residential address. In practice, some organisations may agree to mention only a shortened address in the agreement while retaining your complete address in their KYC records and obtaining an identity clarification affidavit to avoid any ambiguity regarding your identity.

However, whether this is accepted depends entirely on the organisation's internal policies, KYC requirements, and the nature of the agreement. They are not legally obliged to accept such a request.
