Dear Client,
If you have taken multiple payday loans from lenders such as Tejas Loan, Blinkr Loan, Salary on Time, and others, and have been repaying and re-borrowing each month until the debt became unmanageable, you are not alone. While lenders are entitled to seek repayment of legitimate dues, they generally cannot harass, threaten, intimidate, publicly shame you, or contact your employer or HR department merely to pressure you into paying.
If they threaten office visits or contacting HR, keep records of all calls, messages, and communications. Do not take additional loans to repay existing ones. Instead, prepare a list of all outstanding loans and approach the lenders in writing to request a restructuring, settlement, or reasonable repayment plan based on your current financial situation.
If any lender or recovery agent engages in abusive or coercive recovery practices, you may file a complaint with the appropriate regulatory or law-enforcement authorities. The most effective way out is to stop the debt cycle, communicate your inability to pay immediately in full, and work toward an affordable repayment arrangement while protecting yourself from unlawful harassment.
