PEN

My daughter was in std 1 in 2025-26 for 5 months and then discontinued the school no admission was taken anywhere else PEN was generated at that time but I got RTE admission for 2026-2027 for std 1 PEN is showing she is in 2nd std now I have to update PEN which will show her in 1st std please give me solution

Dear Client,

Since the child already has a PEN, a new PEN should not be generated. The existing PEN record should be corrected to reflect the correct class.

You should submit a written request to the new school with the existing PEN, previous school records and RTE admission documents. The school can coordinate with the previous school and the concerned Education Officer/Block Education Officer for correction in the UDISE+/PEN record.

The correction should be completed before finalising the new admission record.
