Legal Step against my Husband. Legal Step against my Husband.

My Husband use to abuse me regularly physically and mentally. He is involved with various types of illegal works. Like making of duplicate government documents. I have informed the matter to the PA of our Honourable Chief Minister, DIG Crime Branch. But nobody is helping me. I am from Sunroom of South Tripura District.

A.Get a local lawyer and report to local police first. The first step should be to get a case registered against him. That you can do alone also just go to the local police they are the one who will register your case, you can take help of a local lawyer, state commission for women, any Mahila thana, or NGO also, better to take someone with you, so that a case is registered & police does not act in connivance with your husband, so better to involve someone for your safety also, the lawyer may also help you go straight to the magistrate court also for directing police to register a case. The case can be a domestic violence case and about his activities also. But domestic violence case is necessary to get protection orders from magistrate along with maintenance orders so the first step should be to protect yourself. Do it.

A.First you need to take care of yourself. Please make a complaint regarding the abuses you have suffered. Later, if you have clear documents relating to his public crimes, you can make complaint to your Local Police Station itself. If the police do not take any action, you can file either a Writ Petition (Criminal) or a Petition under Section 482 of the Cr. P. C. to direct the police to take necessary action.
