Payment to a third party company other than the name in the agreement.

I had applied for a part time job and they had signed a agreement stating if failed to complete or less than 90% accuracy, then I will be liable to pay a sum as penalty. Even thought the quality check was faulty and they are deliberately harassing for payment even without my fault. Just to end the harassment and move further with something else, I agreed to make payment.
My question is that, the company has been providing me a third party account number and forcing me to pay in that account which I have denied since my agreement (real or fake) is with the other company whose name is mention in the agreement. Can the company take legal action on me, though I have emailed them several times to pay even without my mistake, but they have failed to do so.
Kindly help as I am already into lots of personal issues and would not like to add one more.
Get issue a legal notice and come out of the present situation otherwise your payments into third parties account may not taken into consideration.
