Greetings! My grandfather has built a house on a land which is not inherited. This land is actually a common village land. But, he has fought the case with Government of Uttar Pradesh and won the land title. Now, he has three sons. Two of the other sons are claiming the whole house. My grandfather wants to divide the house but not now. What can we do? Can they claim a property which is not inherited, according to Hindu Succession Act?

A.Self-acquired property cannot be inherited As long he is alive, and no one can claim. he can also take to court. against others as a " Trespass". No one can claim on "Partition". Partition only on "Ancestral property". In this case, your grandfather can make "will" or "gift to someone" or whatever he likes. No one can question.
