Police notice from woman police station

I have send a CONFIDENTIAL email to my wife's office for her extra marital affairs with co worker. after some days i received a police notice from woman police station as she registered a petition there stating that I insulted her in office..... what sholud I do.... had my complaint was illegal.... can i make a complain to her employer... can a employer disclose my CONFIDENTIAL e mail to all.... what will be there in police station.

It's a clear case of Defamation. Although you should contact a lawyer and share the whole story. You may have to bear the consequences in civil as well as criminal terms. My sincere advice will be that you should talk to your wife and apologize to her and convince her to take her complaint back. But before that just give a clear picture to an advocate, if u want then from this platform only and share the complete details.

A.What you did was an allegation ( although you may call it confidential) on your wife and that too sent to her employer. I do not think there is any law which guarantees the protection of confidentiality in such kind of communication.
Your wife who is offended now has the right to raise a complaint against you under the law, at least, for defamation apart from harassment and other stuff.
The employer can disclose the said mail which it has done.
