dear sir, my grand father died in 1963 leaving the properties.out of these one property came in the knowledge of us that the property in which someone has occupied is of mine.my question is can i claim that property ? please guide

A.you can claim your share in said property as you are saying recently u got knowledge about said property leaved by your grand father ,actually limitation is for 12 years ,but now you got knowledge them you claim for recovery of possession and declaration of ownership and title

It seems it is in illegal occupation of that person so you can file a suit for possession and get the property back .

A.Yes you can claim that property.
Before that let me tell you that you need to keep the documentary evidences that the property is yours legally.
Documents you will require [notionally]

1. Documents pertaining to ownership of your grandfather
2. Death Certificate of your grand father
3. Legal Heir / Succession Certificate

with this you need to file a case in the civil court for illegal occupation along with prayer for ousting the illegal occupants from that property and decreeing it in your favor.

N.B. - this case will be a tough one and will not end soon. The bar of limitation can also play a very important role.

Talk to a lawyer personally and get in depth knowledge and only after that start a litigation.
