A.Without seeing FIR, and what charges placed on you, your biometric proof may /may not be sufficient. If it is office, they will not only take Biometric, they take CCTV recordings and other information. That may be used in the actual Trial in criminal court. After FIR, Police do Investigation and then submit the report to Magistrate( Judge). Thumb access is prone to tampering, having limited value, may help.

A.Dear Sir,
You can take defence ALIBI that is not present at the spot when incident occur and thus get quashed FIR if you approach Hon'ble High Court under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.

A.Court will take an action when the charge sheet gets filed in the court and it will consider the date when the crime happened and not the FIR lodging date for action.
If you were not there on the spot where the crime happened and you were in your office then you have a strong case in your favour.
