I am being asked to resign I am being asked to resign

I have been working as a Lead Analyst with a IT company since August 2015. I have been asked to resign citing non-availability of a project for my profile currently.

There is a clause for "Termination of Service" which reads "Your services can be terminated by giving 60 days notice even if you are in probation period, in writing for payment of salary in lieu of notice on either side. In case of shorter notice, the liability will be restricted to payment for the proportional period which Falls short of the notice period. during the notice period you are absent without permission for the services will be terminated without any notice."

I don't want to resign, but am being forced to do so. What options do I have?

A.Dear Sir,
Yours is a purely contract based employment, however if you share the said agreement then i can find out some lacunas in it to claim compensation or otherwise.

Please take PAID phone call with me through VIDHIKARYA and get more legal guidance.

A.Private jobs are basically contract between the employer and the employee and hence either of the party can terminate the contract on the given conditions or on mutual agreement. So, if they are asking you to quit and letting you serve the notice period then are well within their legal rights.

If you want to challenge your termination legally then find out if they are breaching any employment term. If not then you should not go for any legal action.

Better try to sort it out with your manager and get engaged in a project as job market is very bad right now.
